November Meeting Updates ![]()
When: 11/17 7:00 PM
We will be assembling the baskets that will be raffled at the craft fair – thank you again to all who are donating. If you can’t be at the meeting please make sure you make arrangements to drop your item off to your basket lead before the meeting.
Speaking of the craft fair – in order to have a successful craft fair, we will need some volunteers to help out. If you can give us an hour of your day on 12/6, there will be sign-ups during the November meeting (or you can comment below letting me know what you want to do and what time). Helpers needed are: Raffle Table (selling tickets), Kitchen help (serving pizza, hot dogs, etc), Admissions table (collecting entrance fees with me), Bake table (selling baked goods with Julie).
Food pantry drive – We have been in touch with the food pantry and while they are well stocked on canned and boxed foods, they have a great need for personal hygiene and cleaning supplies. WMC is happy to bring back our donation drive! We will have a bin at the check-in table (near the raffle) at each meeting. Everyone who brings an item or items will receive one free raffle ticket. Some requested items include: shampoo, conditioner, deodorants, all-purpose cleaners, dish detergent and laundry detergent.
At the check in during the November meeting there will be sign-ups for the optional Chinese food dinner we will serve during our holiday party/yankee swap meeting. Cost for dinner is $20 and since we need to order ahead, we will need sign up and payment no later than 12/6. Feel free to pop into the kitchen at the craft fair and drop payment to Jessica A. if you don’t have it at our meeting. Just a reminder this is an optional part of the December meeting. Please feel free to bring your own dinner or snacks if you aren’t interested in the dinner we provide.
We understand this is an expensive time of year and please know all these donations are optional. Please do not feel that you have to donate items/money if you are not in a position to do so.
A note to new members: We are not always this busy. This is the busiest time of year for the club. Don’t be put off by all we have going on! Also, volunteering at the craft fair is a great way to get to know some other members!
