I hope everyone is settling into the new year comfortably. Before we get to what we have coming up, we want to give a big thanks to the entire membership for coming together to pull off a successful craft fair, giving tree and crawl fundraiser!
Okay, on to what’s ahead. It’s a lot of words here but please try to stick with me and scan it all.
January 26, 2026 – American Legion – 7:00 PM
We are having a charcuterie/snack board challenge. This is a team effort and teams have been formed. If you want to participate but haven’t joined a team, let us know and we can easily add you to a team (email: whitmanmothersclub@gmail.com).
If you don’t want to participate, you’re still welcome to show up, hang out and enjoy the snacks at the end!
We polled the membership and the theme that was decided was “letters”.
Team Captain Names have been entered in an online picker program and have been assigned the following letter theme.
C – Lizz Nourse
B – Jessica Cunningham
S – Jean Jacob
P – Liz O’Donnell
G – Joann Daley
M – Lynne Walton
A – Cheryl Happeny
H – Lynn C
Rules will be at the bottom of this page: (so you have to read all the important stuff in between – see how I did that all sneaky like)
Other important info for January meeting:
Superbowl Squares – Yes – we will have a grid available. $10 per square. Please bring cash or check to purchase a square. We “can” take paypal in a pinch but it is much better to have cash or check when doable. Payouts will be same as in the past:
end of 1st Q = $100 – end of 2nd Q= $100 – end of 3rd Q = $100 FINAL SCORE = $200
We will have our regular lottery raffle.
Bar will be available for cash purchases.
Sea Glass Sign up – As mentioned before, during our February meeting, we will have a sea glass art project for any who sign up. There are two designs to choose from. We have sign up on our Facebook page or you can sign up at our January meeting. Here is where you can find the FB sign up: https://www.facebook.com/groups/246786708667089/posts/26055215270730879/.
The cost of this project is $40 and that includes all supplies and a shadow box to display your design. Payment must be received by 2/2 in order to participate. Again, if you aren’t interested in this project, you are still welcome (and encouraged) to come hang out anyway!
It is almost that time of year to start asking if anyone is interested in joining the board for next season. Please chat with a board member if you are interested or would like more information. ALSO, if you are interested but want to see what a regular board meeting looks like, we are again welcoming anyone (with advance notice) to join us at our next board meeting which is scheduled for the evening of 2/11. Sometimes its less intimidating to join if you get a behind the scenes look first.

1. Your charcuterie items need to be on a board, not on the table.
2. Teams should coordinate who is bringing what before the meeting.
3. This is not a timed competition. You will have plenty of time to assemble your boards.
4. You may not include any alcohol on your board.
5. Once your board is assembled, you will need to carry it to a center table for judging.
6. Each team will judge the boards based on the 4 criteria below. You can’t vote for your own team. You can vote for different teams for each criteria.
7. Criteria: Adherence to the letter assigned, Presentation, Creativity, and Variety
8. Scores will be tallied and the team with the most votes will win a prize. In case of a tie, we will draw a team out of a hat.
9. Paper goods will be provided.
